Wok-Fried Sprouts

It can't be Christmas without sprouts!

Ingredients

  • 200g sprouts, finely chopped
  • 50g butter
  • 2 banana shallots, peeled and finely sliced lengthways
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 100g peeled chestnuts, roughly chopped
  • Salt and pepper to season

Method

  1. Heat a wok on a medium heat on the hob, add the butter, garlic and shallots and soften for 1-2 minutes
  2. Add the sprouts and toss together, fry for 4-5 minutes until they soften and start to colour
  3. Add the chestnuts and cook until they are warm through, season to taste with salt and pepper, serve
