We show you how to cook an orange sauce for duck with a chilli twist (Serves 2-3)

Step By Step Instructions

  1. Place the oranges, pineapple juice, chilli and sugar in a pan.
  2. Bring to the boil and reduce by a third.
  3. Stir in the corn flour.
  4. Simmer for 5 minutes until the mixture thickens.
  5. Mix in the parsley.
  6. Serve with your cooked duck, garnish with orange segments. 

Comments

  • I've made it with sugar cane juice (No need for corn flour and sugar) , orange juice and zest, little lime juice, a small slice of fresh ginger and chili.
    Just add the sugar cane juice after boiling. It will thicken very quick.

  • Went home after shopping only to totally forgot to buy oranges! Luckily I had a tin of mandarins, some leftover orange juice, and corn flour (to thicken). I added slices of fresh ginger, a drop of white wine vinegar and some pepper...viola 'emergency'duck orange sauce made!

  • I understand the pineapple, but I'm a Diabetic, so have to manage sugar levels, dropped the sugar, pineapple juice and Marmalade, added zest and juice of half a lime.. We, my family (Who suffer for my excesses, enjoyed it!)
