Job Title: Poultry Handler
Reporting to: Poultry Catch Manager
Overview: To catch poultry in line with the SOP dependent on species.
Key tasks within the job:
Working within a team to ensure high welfare catching practices are maintained at all times.
Work to a high health and safety standard, feeding back any ideas for improvement to the site manager.
Maintain and improve on high levels of poultry welfare and ensure all biosecurity guidelines are adhered to.
Work closely with line manager and staff on site to ensure all tasks get carried out efficiently and safely.
To work with staff in a positive, professional manner and be prepared to support the business in a challenging environment.
To maintain and improve the high level of poultry welfare, including culling when required.
Ensure all farm bio-security guidance is followed (different site procedures followed)
To carry out driving requirements as necessary in line with Line Leader instructions.
- To carry out any other tasks relating to poultry farming as the company may reasonably require.
Skills, behaviors and requirements:
Calm and good-natured temperament
The work involved can be very physically demanding and you therefore should be fit and able to carry out the tasks.
Full driving license.
- Full training will be provided.

Job Type: Permanent
Hours per week: 39 Hours per week
Working Times: Working hours will vary depending on times of catch. This will include early mornings. Weekends may be required as and when according to business needs.
Pay Rate: £11.70 per hour & £25 catch bonus per day (if certain requirements are met)
Own transport is essential due to the remote location.
