Gressingham Foods are seeking a full time (40 hours) HR Admin Assistant to join their busy HR Department. The successful candidate will need to liaise with all Departments within the business, at all levels, of various nationalities

Key responsibilities: 

Support HR Managers on all personnel matters including staff recruitment, employment contracts, leavers, individual/team development and disciplinary procedures

Have the ability to build and maintain excellent and credible relationships with managers and employees, supporting an environment of trust and respect

Support with employee relations issues, liaising with welfare when employee counsellor when required

Support the Learning and Development of staff in their understanding of their responsibilities as an employee and colleague, at all times.

Manage right to work status issues liaising with the HR managers where additional technical support is required

Taking notes of meetings such as works committee meetings as and when required

Use the HR system to ensure staff data is correct and up to date at all times

Maintain confidentiality at all times, ensuring the protection of all personnel and payroll data

Other tasks and responsibilities as required

Additional Information:

Job Type: Full Time – 40 hours (5 days per week) Office based

Salary: £26,000 per annum

Full training will be provided

Initially the hours will be 7.00am to 15.30pm for the first 4 weeks to support familiarisation training. After this the standard working hours will be 08.00am to 16.30pm.

It is expected that additional hours/days will be worked during the Company’s annual Xmas campaign, agreed in advance by the Head of HR. Any additional hours/days required will be a condition of their salary, and no additional payment will be made.

The successful applicant must be trustworthy, open and approachable and be prepared, when required, to enter food production areas wearing the correct PPE

Skills Required:

Strong IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel)
Professional telephone manner
A willingness to learn and develop their role in a supportive environment, through additional training and development, with the option of completing their CIPD level 3 in the future
Ability to adapt to different situations
