Technical Specification Writer

An exciting position has arisen to join the Technical Team at Gressingham Foods Ltd.  We are looking for an individual with a strong attention to detail, who can work along our current Technical Specifications Writer to provide accurate, quality specifications for our exciting range of Gressingham and customer products.

The position can be based at either our Redgrave or Debach sites, although it will be expected that you will require to attend either site for team/customer meetings, via telephone or in person. This is a key role for the company and, working alongside our Technical Department, will focus on current and future product development.

The ideal candidate is methodical and logical in their way of working, and confident in their IT skills as you will be using various computer systems.  Self-motivation, excellent interpersonal skills and a sharp eye for detail and quality is what we are looking for.  They will have experience within a technical function in the food industry and/or have either a food or science related qualification.

The role will involve maintenance and compilation of internal factory specifications, completion and maintenance of on-line customer specification systems, liaising with customers on label design and sign off as well as assisting/overseeing quality audits, the completion of daily factory process controls and associated documentation as well as general administration duties within the Quality/Technical department.

Preference will be given to those who have previous experience within the food industry, and salary will be dependent on experience.

42.5 hrs per week Monday – Friday
