Commercial Site Farm worker – Mount Pleasant
JOB TITLE: Commercial Site Farm worker
REPORTING TO: Site manager
OVERALL AIM OF THE JOB: To work within our dedicated team in producing ducks, geese and turkey to the highest standard and of the best quality.
Working hours: Monday to Friday 07:30am to 04:00pm, every other weekend on Saturday and Sunday mornings to carry out the checks required to ensure poultry welfare is maintained.
Current starting rate: £9.00 per hour. Overtime rate paid for any hours over 39 as well as weekends and bank holidays.

KEY TASKS WITHIN THE JOB:
Following on from your induction and site training:-
To support the team in maintaining and to continually improve on our high welfare standards.
To assist with achieving target levels of mortality as efficiently as possible.
To work to a high health and safety standard, ensuring all colleagues work in a safe environment.
Update all records required in order to provide accurate, up-to-date information for the site manager
To ensure feed, water, straw and ventilation are provided at the levels required to ensure the birds welfare is maintained.
Identify and communicate to the site manager any problems with birds or equipment. It is the responsibility of everyone to ensure the site and the PPE is kept clean and in good condition.
Carry out evening checks of site, when required.
To maintain and improve where possible the hygiene standards.
To assist with all general farm duties, e.g. duck catching, muck removal, pressure washing (training will be provided)
Monitor stock control of farm supplies, and report shortages to the site manager.
Maintain all aspects or company policy on site (as per Company Handbook).
To work with staff in a positive manner, ensuring the team is working as safely and efficiently as possible.
To carry out any other tasks relating to poultry farming as the company may reasonably require.
