Party Food Inspiration This Festive Season

With Christmas upon us, we thought we would share with you our favourite party food for the festive season, guaranteed to set the mood for friends and family!

Canapés or starters:

Devils on Horseback

A classic favourite. Soak the prunes in a brandy and water mix for at least half an hour before cooking. They will take on the flavour of the brandy to add an extra tang. (Click Here) for the recipe.

Aromatic Duck & Ginger Spring Rolls

These make for great canapés or a side or starter for a dinner party. Accompany with hoisin sauce for dipping! (Click Here)

Arancini Balls

Your guests will adore these arancini balls, which can double up as a hearty risotto the night before; then use the cold leftovers to make your canapés for the next day – that’s killing two birds with one stone!

The showstopper: Duck and shallots au vin

Duck Legs are fantastic for a dinner party as they are very low maintenance to cook. Leave them in the oven at 160 degrees and it is very hard to overcook them! Prepare this ‘shallots au vin’ sauce in advance and heat through well when it comes to serve. It doesn’t get easier than that! For the recipe from Olive Magazine (Click Here).

To finish: Mary Berry’s Wicked Chocolate Squares

Perfectly indulgent, we cannot get enough of these chocolate squares. Intensely chocolate but not too heavy, when paired with the chocolate ganache they are a classy looking desert. Plus, they are quick and simple to cook! (Click Here)
