Dine in with duck this Autumn

Autumn is on its way and darker evenings are a great excuse to get cosy indoors with a tasty meal. We have two new Autumnal recipes on our website that are delicious as an end of the week treat.

Duck breast with a rich cherry sauce – this is an elegant yes simple main course ideal for a romantic supper. The sauce is made with shallots, cherries, port and honey and is very easy to make. The sweetness of the sauce goes well with the rich duck meat and can be served with any cut of the bird or a whole roast duck. See the full duck with cherry sauce recipe here .

Duck confit is a traditional yet versatile dish. We like to serve ours with puy lentils or creamy mash with braised red cabbage. The process is a little lengthy, you will need to marinate the duck legs overnight in duck fat and cook them the next day. It will be well worth the wait though. See the full duck leg confit recipe here

If you don’t have the time to cook from scratch you could try one of the products from our Bistro range, restaurant style duck dishes that you cook in the oven at home. Browse the full Duck Bistro range here.
